June 23, 2008 – 11:28 am

Traffic safety school is something we must all do at one point or another. Whether you want to become a better driver or dismiss a ticket from your record, traffic safety school can be completed in a classroom or online. By taking an accredited and highly acclaimed driver safety education course, you may even be able to receive a discount on your auto insurance.

Instructing at a Traffic Safety School
Driving school instructors should be approved and registered with the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). Also, a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) must display a green license on the windscreen of the car while teaching you. Ensure your instructor has at least these items before you enroll in your driving school.

If you are interested in becoming an instructor, keep in mind that you must have held a full driving license for at least four years. You will also have to pass a much tougher theory test than the one you will take. Instructors are also required to pass a strict driving test.

As a driving instructor, you will be required to reach and keep up a high standard of instruction. It is required that you register with the DSA and display an ADI identification certificate on the windscreen of the tuition vehicle. The standard of your teaching is also regularly checked by a supervising examiner from the DSA.
